Andy Murray has shown class and finesse in his three set demolition of Milos Raonic at the Wimbledon this evening.
The score of 6-4, 7-6, 7-6, is enough to suggest that Andy Murray was in his sublime best. His match fitness was definitely at its best. His movement on the court suggests that physically he was quite fit. Raonic meanwhile squandered too many chances with his high number of unforced errors.
There was just one break in the entire match. Though, the last two sets went into a tie break, Murray just ran through them. In the 3rd set, Andy just went ahead 5-1 in the tie breaker, before wrapping up the match easily. It was Any Murray’s 3rd grand slam win, and second Wimbledon finals win and he repeated his feat after he won here at the Wimbledon 2013.
Watched by Prince William and the princesses, the Scot was simply dictating the terms from the very first set itself when he broke Raonic to win the first set 6-4.
The crowd also included outgoing Prime Minister David Cameron, and the yesteryear Wimbledon greats, which included, Stefan Edberg, Becker and Borg.
